How to use the tool<\/h2>\n

Below you can see step by step<\/strong> in a little more detail how you can use this S:FLEX service to quickly and accurately record and plan your solar roof projects<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Home<\/h3>\n

In the first step after logging in, you create new projects and manage your already started or completed system planning.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Project<\/h3>\n

Under the “Project” menu item, you can save details such as the location of a project, the delivery address and information about the customer.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Project\/Google Maps<\/h3>\n

Google Maps can also be used for registration. The location and definition of the project can be carried out using address searches, maps or satellite images.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Roof<\/h3>\n

To select the roof shape and roof covering, choose the right one from the stored types. Or you can define complex shapes yourself. Then enter values for size, pitch, orientation, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Roof\/disturbed areas<\/h3>\n

Interfering areas, i.e. areas that cannot be covered with PV modules or components that would cause shading, are easy to enter and are displayed graphically.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Roof\/snow load<\/h3>\n

Click on the “Snow load” button to open a window in which you can transfer the regional values from a stored database or enter your own figures.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Roof\/wind load<\/h3>\n

The wind load is calculated just as easily and clearly as the snow load using stored wind zones and terrain categories. You can also choose to use your own values as a basis.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

PV modules<\/h3>\n

Inserting the modules used could not be easier: From a table with a search and sort function, you can choose from 40,000 products that are currently recorded with dimensions and performance. Or you can create a new module yourself.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Construction<\/h3>\n

Here, one of the S:FLEX system solutions is selected for the previously defined roof. The fastening system is then dimensioned and adapted in all respects to the requirements of the specific roof.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Arrangement<\/h3>\n

The optimum layout of the solar generator is determined and displayed graphically. If required, the arrangement, row spacing or quantity of modules can be modified manually within the project specifications.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Arrangement\/3D view<\/h3>\n

The three-dimensional view helps to assess the planning. The system is visualized virtually at its location with the help of Bing or Google Maps. It can be viewed from all sides and angles in all zoom levels.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

CAD plan<\/h3>\n

The module field is output as a construction drawing under the “CAD plan” menu item. For further processing, the plan can be exported in various scales in the file formats DXF, DWG or PDF.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Statics<\/h3>\n

For ballasted systems, the required ballast per load point is displayed. For other systems, the tensile and compressive forces are displayed. Static values can be read at any point of the structure: at the nodal points, the connection points, the floor rails, etc.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Issue<\/h3>\n

At the end of your work with the S:FLEX planning tool, you have a material overview with all the components to be installed for planning and costing. The components are stored with prices and technical data and can be downloaded as a parts list in PDF, Excel or XML format.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Output\/project report<\/h3>\n

In addition to the material overview, you can also generate a comprehensive report at the end.
